What is in my Summer makeup bag?!

The first and absolute most important thing in my summer make up bag is SUNSCREEN! ☀️

Sunscreen should be in everyone’s make up bag.

The sunscreen I am currently using is the Neutrogena Sport Face oil-free lotion with SPF 70+. What I like about this sunscreen is that it won't clog my pores and is water & sweat resistant (which is great for me because I have the tendency to sweat.)

But what I like most is that it is recommended as an effective UV sunscreen by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

I love this powder because it feels so light weight and I feel it gives just enough coverage - coverage is build-able.

This is great if you don't want to mess with foundation and just want to cover up and go! Usually, if I don't feel up to wearing makeup I'll just wear this and some mascara.

When applying this powder I just use a small kabuki brush.

For concealer I have been using the wet n wild Photo Focus™ Concealer* in the shade Light Ivory.

I love this concealer because it is so blend-able and is white-cast free!

The concealer has been "tested to be white cast-free under seven different photo lighting conditions, this high coverage concealer allows only your best features to get noticed."

Even if the concealer did not prevent white cast I would still use it. I love the formula and it's so easy to just blend in with my fingers.

I have been using two blushes so far this summer. The first blush I have been using is the SO SUSAN Blush & Glow Luminizing BLush** in the shade Rose Rust. This blush gives the perfect tint to my cheeks and also gives my face a glow! It is definitely a summer fav! 💖

I received this blush in one of my ipsy subscription bags. I find the actual blush to be over priced. I tend to stick to drug store makeup just because I feel it is just as great quality as high-end products and is in my price range.

The second blush I have been using this summer is the COVERGIRL truBLEND blush in the shade Light Rose 100.

I love this blush because it gives be just a sheer pinky glow! It's not full coverage which I like in a blush.

For highlight I have been using the trèStique mini highlight stick.*

I love this highlighting stick because I can just put it on my brow bone and dab it on my cheek bones and it gives my a great highlight to last me all day!

Now it's time for the eyes and...

EYEronically (see what I did there? 😂) all of the products I have for my eyes I have received from my monthly ipsy glam bags. Before (and if) I do my shadow I always start with concealer and pressed powder. But if I'm doing my eyeshadow these are the products I use.

The first product I like to use is the theBalm Bahama Mama® bronzer.**

I only ever really apply this to the crease and outter corner of my eye just to give my eyes some definition.

The next product I use (and probably most favorite in my whole summer bag!!) is the HIKARI Cream Pigment eye shadow** in honey dew.

This is the perfect color for my blue eyes and it just makes them pop! It is so pigmented! ✨ I just dab it on my eyelids with my finger tip and I'm all set!

When I use this I use the highlighter on my lid and under my brow bone. I will sometimes use the HIKARI Cream Pigment as a base and then put this on top.

Then I will use the bronzer for my crease and outer corner.

The brushes that I use to apply theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer and the MANNA KADAR Bronzer and Highlighter duo are the Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush* and the slmissglam Angled Eye W20 Brush.*

Both brushes are also from my ipsy subscriptions. From what I understand you can't buy the slmissglam Angled Eye W20 brush without purchasing the whole set which costs $325. If you are looking for an angled brush any brush will do. I also love Real Technique brushes which those are sold online and in Target, Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart, etc..

Next is mascara, eyeliner, and brows!

For mascara I have been using the itCosmetics Superhero™ Mascara* in Super Black.

I have always heard people rave about this mascara and I can see why! I was so excited when I got it! Like I mentioned earlier, if I'm not up for putting on my face I'll just do my pressed powder and some mascara and I'm good to go. I love it so much I even made a comparison photo (with just one coat of mascara) just for this blog post! 🙈

For eyeliner I have been wearing the wet n wild MegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner* in Black.

I love this eyeliner because it's so easy for me to use - especially since I have such small hands!

Since it's so small and the tip is so short I feel like I have better control over it than my other eyeliners.

Now to seal this post with a kiss! 💋 It's time for the lips!

The first thing I put on my lips is Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. I don't ever get coldsores but I do get dry lips.

This lip ointment (I HATE that word) makes my lips feel so soft and moisturized! I'll always put this on before putting on a lipstick because helps the lipstick glide on so smoothly!

If I'm not using this then I use the NIVEA Mint & Minerals Lip Care.

Now if I'm adding color to my lips you can bet it's going to be pink! I love pink lipstick! Whether it's hot pink or ballet pink!

My first lipstick is wet n wild MegaLast lip color* in Dollhouse Pink! If you want your lips PINK then this is for you!! NOW if I want my lips hot pink but not too hot I will use the wet n wild MegaCushion Matte Lip Cream in Doll So Hard.*

Before putting on either of these products I will use the Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment.

My last lip product is a lip paint from tarte. It's the tarteist lip paint* in the shade rosé. I'm not really one for matte lipsticks but this one is a must!

SO this is all that's in my summer makeup bag! What is in your summer makeup bag that you think I should try? I would love your opinion!

Look back at the end of the month for a list of my June favorites!

* indicates the product/company is labeled cruelty-free. I am currently in the process of clearing out would love to have all of my makeup products be cruelty-free.
